Obituary:

Paula Jean Tankenoff, age 62 quietly left us on October 25, in the company of those who loved her most. Preceded in death by father and confidant Howard Weisskopf. Survived by husband James; mother Gloria Weisskopf; adored by her children Erin Peacock (Eric), Abby Merea (Santiago), and her little Michael Tankenoff. Cherished by sisters Debra Finn (Michael), Melanie Weisskopf and her granddaughter Janie Robbins. Her strength supported her family throughout her battle with cancer, and although she conceded physically, her spirit, still vibrant and tangible will live forever. Tough as she was graceful, her poise and humor will remain timeless in the hearts of all who knew her. She was a traveler and a risk taker who instilled a sense of adventure and curiosity in her children. She leaves behind friends and family who are better for having known her and will miss her enormous presence. Funeral service 11 AM, WEDNESDAY at TEMPLE ISRAEL, 2324 Emerson Ave. So., Mpls. In lieu of flowers, please send contributions to the James and Paula Tankenoff Family Fund at Minneapolis Jewish Family and Children’s Service, 13100 Wayzata Blvd. Suite 400, Minnetonka, MN 55305.
